Multiple casualties in shooting at Pittsburgh synagogue
Police from across the city of Pittsburgh are responding to an active shooting situation at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill.
Local media reported that at least four people were dead after a man opened fire at a synagogue in Pittsburgh on Saturday.
Authorities responded to a shooting Saturday morning near the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh police were also dispatched to reports of active gunfire at the synagogue.
The Tree of Life synagogue is a conservative Jewish congregation, according to its website. It's in Squirrel Hill, a historic, Jewish neighborhood. The synagogue has a Shabbat service at 9:45 a.m. Saturdays.
