The U.S. median household income in 2017 was $60,336 which was a 2.6% increase from 2016.

Twenty-one states have a median household income which is above the national average.

The median household income in the District of Columbia is $82,372 which is the highest in the country.

West Virginia has the lowest median household income of $43,469.

New York- $64,894
Florida- $52,594
New Jersey- $80,088
