Positive work done by Trump administration

On January 20, 2017, President Donald J Trump took the presidency of the United States of America. He was treated as an unconventional politician. He bragged about his inauguration crowd size. Many critics doubted his motive. Many did not believe whether he would succeed or not.

Over the last 20 months, President Trump has many accomplishments in his presidency career.

Economy:

• In the second quarter of 2018, the U.S. GDP growth hit an annualized 4.1%.
• The economy added 3.2 million jobs, unemployment fell to the lowest level in 18 years, and the number of job openings grew larger than the number of job-seekers for the first time on record.
• An unemployment rate of 3.7%; the lowest since 1969.
• The U.S. added 213,000 jobs in June 2018, topping economist forecasts of 195,000.
• Average hourly earnings rose 2.9 percent in August 2018, as the economy added 201000 jobs.
• The US economy added 250,000 jobs in October 2018, significantly exceeding expectations.
• Weekly earnings rose by 1.2%.

Policy:

• Appointed two supreme court justices: Neil Gorsuch (April 2017) and Brett Kavanaugh (September 2018).
• Signed VA Choice Act and VA Accountability Act, expanded VA telehealth services, walk-in-clinics, and same-day urgent primary and mental health care.
• Secured record $700 billion in military funding; $716 billion next year.
• Moved U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.
• Enacted United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA.

International Relations:

• U.S. bid for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
• U.S.-Mexico-Canada’s united bid for 2026 World Cup.
• Moved U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.
• High-level Trump Kim summit.
• Withdraw the United States from the job-killing Paris Climate Accord.
• Withdraw from Iran-deal.
• Imposed tariffs on China in response to China’s forced technology transfer, intellectual property theft, and their chronically abusive trade practices.
• Imposed tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum to protect our national security.
• Reached a breakthrough agreement with the E.U. to increase U.S. exports.
